Dunno who is the lrna but this is all such bullshit I can't be bothered with
it.

I just got thru listening to Henwood's interviews with Tariq Ali, Noam
Chomsky, and some woman going on about the feminisation of the military or
the militarisation of women, forget which, don't think she knew anyway. If
you've seen that film where what's-her-face, the one who used to be hitched
to  Bruce Willis, plays the first female Green beret or whatever, and her
body is so tuned up it's like a huge knot of piano wires that might explode
any moment, and all the hardened guys agree at the end that, yeah, right,
she's really an honorarary male after all, yeah, U!S!A! U!S!A --that's where
it's at, only all done up in the kind of slick psychobabble parlor-socialist
talk that WBAI seems to serve up.

 Interesting to hear henwood talking about the 'world oil crisis' etc; I
keep on file all the unpleasantnesses he directed at me all that time ago
way back in good old 2001 when he called me an apocalytpic misogynist loony,
'Rev Jones' etc, crazed malthusian, etc, for saying the exact same things.
Now Carnegie institute avatar and old Russia hand (or baltic hand anyway)
the egregious Anatol Lieven is making it OK to say such things, and now
everyone is all of a sudden an expert on what is a 'swing producer', even
Henwood who quoted approvingly and with frissons of stolen wrongful
pleasure, evidently, Lieven banging on about how the US is the main Satan
etc--then Henwood is repeating Ali's words about how the US has not been all
that good and kind after all in the middle east, with the kind of oval eyes
and oval mouth of a kid reading his first Ladybird book, while constantly
asking Ali and Chomsky for reassurance that nevertheless'this Saddam, but
it's true he is some bad guy, no?' etc etc.

Excuse, I just have to go and be sick. Then I'm going to resume my new
hobby: making paper doilies for charity sales.
