RE: [A-List] Autobiographical Writing For Reality: It's A Damn G ood Thing For All Of Us]

Just confused, where did this discussion come up? on A-list or marxmail?
Is Hunter on A-list?

anyhow, I agree with Jim and Michael on the issue of Mormonism, though I
think this is not a burning issue for socialism either. Agreeing that
they are very reactionary, racist and sexist, aren't mormons a
peripheral element in American society?:-)

Hi Xxxx: No the Mormons are anything but on the periphery in terms of:
access to/positions within the national security state of U.S. imperialism;
media ownership, control and access; numbers in Congress, the Executive and
various intelligence agencies; role and influence in genocide against
Indigenous Peoples; role and influence in homophobic, sexist and racist
doctrines and laws; progressively laying the foundations of fascism in
America.

None of these issues is a peripheral issue in the struggle for socialism.
And finally, it is about naked provable lies being told/spread in support of
a reactionary, genocidal and anti-Indian institution on lists ostensibly
dedicated to anti-reactionary purposes and views--by an individual claiming
to be anti-reactionary and claiming to be Indigenous.

It is like a woman promoting misogyny on a feminist list; it is like an
African-American promoting "The Bell Curve" on an anti-racism list; it is
like a Jew promoting "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" on an anti-nazi
holocaust list; it is like a worker promoting "management rights and
privilege" on an anti-capitalist list; it is like a Gay or Lesbian promoting
homophobia on a Gay/Lesbian list; it is like an Indigenous person promoting
John Wayne on an Indigenous list...

take care,

Jim
