I agree with much of what your wrote, Sabri.  And, yes, govt
is supposed to preserve the "peace" and establish "tranquility,"
but Fedgov hasn't done that, isn't doing that, and won't do that
because it is preserving its special interests - that was my point.

Also despicable is Xerox's $10M fine after their private meeting
with Harvey Pitt, their former counsel.  What a racket!

PS Actually ML's troubles are not over - the deal is contingent on
all 50 states agreeing to Spitzer's terms.  I imagine there's a few
state attorney generals out there who wouldn't mind making a name
for themselves by refusing to lay down their sword.  Anyway,
Spitzer is off to what I hope will be a failed Senate campaign, the
little weasel.
