[A-List] Operation Restoring Investor Confidence: Merrill-Spitzer Settlement

You are right. Definitely it is not mine. Mine happens to reside
in Ankara, although I reside in California. But of course this is
an irrelevant fact. The relevant question is this: Whose
interests do your and my governments represent? Aren't they there
to preserve the existing order? Is it too surprising to see that
the penalty your government charged to Merrill Lynch for its
crime is a joke? The whole point of this is to let them keep
their license to go on stealing, is it not? Why do you think I
used the title: "Operation Restoring Investor Confidence" for the
original post?

Who are they?

Both you and I, and most others on this list, are against the
privileged minorities who invariably exploit the non-privileged
rest. Where we differ is our identification of the causes of
their existence whereas where we intersect is our lack of answers
to how to eliminate the privileged and the non-privileged.

You are for liberty and so am I. But without egality and
fraternity, liberty is not possible. At least, this is my view.

So we are back to the 18th century, should I say, Europe. Let us
see how we will do this time.

Best,

Sabri
