In 1966 LBJ was in office, finishing JFK's term after he was
assassinated in Nov 1993.  LBJ was elected president in his
own right in Nov, 1964.  LBJ chose not to run for
re-election in 1968, and Nixon was elected to his first term.  Nixon
again triumphed in 1972, only to resign in August 1974.
