[A-List] World Cups and Argentina

Ever since in 1966 a joint gang of Germans and British rogues arranged the
participation of Argentina in the World Cup so that we were elliminated and
England and Germany carried the Championship and Second places, Argentineans
find in the World Cup victory against England a particular sense of patriotic
outrage, too.

We are pleased to have them as members of our same group in Japan. And we
expect to elliminate them from the next Cup.

Diego Maradona knew very well what he was doing when he made that goal with the
Hand of God. It was not the Hand of God. It was the Hand of the Argentinean
people.

But, if "Vox populi, vox Dei", then "Manus Dei, manus populi..."

We are somehow vindictive on these issues.
