i'll take a look at Mary's thing. it would surprise me muchly that she
would as you say.

fred is another thing. i have two personal friends [fred is less so thant
the other - a german] who have the .... ooops i'm gonna do what we aint
supposta here ...distinction amng those i know personally or not of
being ALWAYS wrong, no matter what. Fred on Afghanistan, Iran, Soviet
Union, Iraq war and on and on before [when we had our twice yearly run-ins
at TNI in Amsterdam about the cold war, he one day got furious and
prohibited me from ever discussing the  matter there with him again].
of course history, at every juncture, has shown him wrong, but poor fred
never learns.
