I don't see how it is helpful to any understanding of US politics to cast the Kennedy assassination as a coup or to speculate on how far the secret police and whoever
presumably runs them would favor Johnson over Kennedy, etc. To over- describe such an event, including events like the vote corruption in Florida, tends to set lots of folks
sniffing down the trail of red herrings while the prey luxuriates in its lair.
